When general anesthesia or sedation, the patient immediately loses consciousness in seconds. Most patients admitted for fear of worrying keeps died alias drugged sleep.

The researchers suggest that provision of information to be received rather general anesthesia patients so that patients can remove the fear of going under anesthesia.

The researchers conducted a study of 460 patients to perform certain operations in the UK with age range 18-75 years, mean age 46 years and 59 percent of respondents were women.

This has required operations from gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ear, nose and throat surgery.

Patients were asked to indicate their level of anxiety. Result, there are three concerns that make the patient extremely restless mind I can not wake up (26 percent) died in his sleep (25 percent) and wake up when in operation (20 percent).
